Berserker ?!
Does that term 'Berserker' mean anything to you ? no ? ... no no , I am not talking about your kid sister ;) ... just kidding ! .. Well, it didnt mean much to me either until yesterday ... so what changed between yesterday and today ? I got my hands on the new XBOX 360 and 'Gears of War' ...
Man ! Do I love the game or what !! The other games like prince of persia etc are nothing compared to this one ... An action-packed, almost-real, third person shooting game which keeps you in front of your xbox for hours ... its nominated as the most popular XBOX game going ahead of 'Halo 2' .. btw: its rated 'Mature' for all the bloody, gory and action filled scenes ... guys, if you love playing action games, this one is a must ! The mission is to kill all the Locusts and save the human habitants ... the 3D effects are just awesome & so are the sound effects ...
I have just started playing this one and I already love it ... Especially the 'berserker' character ... its sheer terror !! A berserker can smell you , it can hear you but it can not see you ! sounds easy to escape huh ? But listen to this - One single blow is good enought to tear you apart into pieces .... no standard weapons are of use against this monster ... only the so called 'hammer of dawn' is what works which is basically satellites firing some laser radiation ... so it works only in open air - you have to lure the berserker outside without getting killed and then aim at it - and use the hammer of dawn twice so that it dies .... I was killed a number of times in the beginning and though I succeeded in the end in killing this devil, my heart surely skipped a number of beats in the process ... my hands are still vibrating as I write this post !! You have to play it to know what it is !!
Those, for lack of a better word on top of my head right now, soft-hearted ppl, who tend to have nightmares if they watch a horror film, please dont even think about playing this game and especially facing the berserker. Its gonna haunt you for sure ...
This game is gonna keep me busy for the whole of christmas and new year vacation ... isnt it a great timing ? cant wait to complete this level and move on to higher ones ... you can expect more posts on this one from me in the coming days :)
